Help!!! Does anyone use a Hewlett Packard 1220c printer.  

I hope someone can help. I use an HP 1220c printer but it has started to refuse to print with paper fed from the front of the machine.
I cannot see any obstruction but cannot see any way to get into the base to see if there is a small paper blockage.
If paper is fed in at the rear it works ok!!
No jokes please!!!!
I have tried online to download a manual but find that I have to pay and in my present impecunious state that is not an option.
It is a great printer and I would be sorry to stop using it, so please, can anyone help???
