do you support the idea of "Animal Rights"? |

| We love animal and we don't want to hurt them and we want to protect them from being abused. No doubt. But, is it right that human play God, try to apply Animal Rights? It's kind of un-nature, what do you think? | | | | | |

| | I do not think that granting animals rights is "playing God." Animals obviously have feelings and can love and care for people and feel pain, and it is not right that they should be abused just because humans feel like it. Also, God cared about animals, a lot. Remember, Noah took two of every kind onto the ark. Also, there are scripture references about how God cares about the sparrow. He provides them with food every day. Actually, here is a very interesting article online about this very topic: http://www.monmouthchurch.org/Reference/Animals - Gods View.htm . It talks about how the Bible says that animals are our companions, God blesses animals by enabling them to reproduce, providing for their feeding through plants, and providing for their care by us, humans. We are to care for animals and animals are accountable to God. Check out the article! | | | | | | |

| | Or, should I ask--" do we human have the Rights" to grant animal rights? I think human and animal are equal, one can't grant the other anything. | | | |

| | We agree to disagree. I can grant my dog protection. and you can bet if anyone tries to lay a finger on me in harm she is going to eat them up. So we are equal in my eyes. :-) | | | |

| | well. i don't know whether i'm the right person to comment on this topic since i am an ardent fan of chicken. There are lot of campaigns going on to save Tigers and Pandas from being extinct but that doesn't mean we are protecting animal rights. When i think more about it, even chicken have their own rights but we butcher them just the same for our own conveniences. I wonder whether we would file lawsuits to protect chicken from being fried if they were on the brink of extinction.. | | | | | | |

| | I don't believe it is playing God. We have a responsobility to protect animals I believe. I mean we have rights. No one can abuse us, beat us, etc without paying the consequences. and the same should be for animals. They have feelings to and do not deserve to be treated badly. | | | | | | |

| | It's our human's bad if we treat animal bad. So, maybe it's better work on our human's rights instead of work on animal's right? | | | |

| | Animal rights, then plant rights. We are all living creatures. My grandfather was a hunter. But he told me this. Don't kill unless it is for food, don't plant a plant unless you will take care of it. Don't buy meat or any food unless you are gonna eat, don't waste it. As far as pets, his thoughts were don't have one unless you will love and care for it. Everything in his opinion was, here for a reason and you should respect, love and care for. He hated people who hunted for sport, hated seeing a garden uncared for. We must eat but we must love and respect too. If it is a pet or animal, a plant, a human, treat it as you would like to be treated, then even better. | | | | | | |

| | Animals have feelings and the domestic animals give unconditional love. They deserve to be protected and taken care of. The thought of animal rights being is un-natural is very odd. It's like saying human rights is un-natural. I am a vegetarian and I do understand that there are people that eat meat. The quality of the meat is better if the animals are cared for better, than being caged or pened. As far as wild animals it's survival of the fittest. That is the law of natue. Sometimes that is crewl and hard to know about. When it comes to things that are un-naturan like areal shooting of wolves and other animals it's plain wrong. Clubbing of baby seals is crewel and shameful. I could go on but I think you get the idea. | | | | | | |

| | I do believe in animal rights. Even God wants us to respect animals. The catholic church has a saint, St Francis who loved and respected animals. there is nothing wrong in respecting and protecting the animals. | | | | | | |

| | The God has given life to both man and animal. So, they have the equal right to live as we have. It is very unfortunate that man because of his greed kill animals and clean forests. This is the reason behind the some animal kingdom are extict and some are endangered of getting extinct. Animals also have same pain as men when someone is harming us. Animal Rights need to be protected from cruel men. | | | | | | |

| | I believe man and animal are equal. But I don't believe lifes come from God. If life is God given, that brings the logic that no man should bother whoever is killed- beause God knows all and manage all. | | | |
