I think it has no bearing for the league or the team either about who the women involved really are.. more about whether one particular offended player would go after him on ice..

The league needs to keep certain things in mind, especially the value and glory of the sport. It cannot be demeaned by this garbage and shouldn't be either. Are there no bars and barfights anymore? or behind the barn if you feel you need a good wackin,, but to publicly dishonour anyone, you negativly mark the team and the league.. people remember that stuff.

Good they nipped it in the bud right away, no matter how good he can play! He ought to be literally bites the hand that feeds him! He needs a lesson taught!

I did a long essay over in Yahoo Answer over this but basicly it boils down to the Avery may have a case of harrassment against the league at this point. Most consider him rude and crude, he is known for being a huge pest along with m decent hockey player. Please do not forget he is not a nobody out there he does have more skill then half the other players. This was his frist suspension. It has cost him as many games as a certain player that stomped on another players boot. This other player has been suspended for verious incidents around 8 or 9 times. He has demaded a trade, refusing to play for a team, and he was captain of that team. He is known for going for other player head (league no no) and went for Yzermans knees in an effert to knock him out of the playoffs. (missing and injuring himelf ironicly) I think most fans know who I am talking about. Do you think Avery's lawyer will not bring up him and many others. CBA was voilated, suspension of off ice incedence must be called to hearing before a suspension can be had. Avery has the NHLPA of not doing its part to. The Dallas Stars have not fufilled his contract in good faith. Again handing out a stiff punishment then it has for a certain post game slash.
The one thing that has amazed me is that Hull has been silent, from my understanding in the hearing he was defending Sean but he has now been forced to announce the team is cutting ties. If this ends up in court will he stay quiet?

I personally feel Avery was never given a real chance in Dallas, i think Morrow and Turco didnt care for him and given there position within the team that leads me to think whole team was tainted from moment they signed him.
