citrus fruits are rich in vit c. But according to some articles i've read, you have to eat a lot of those fruits in a day to get the recommended dose of vit c. That's why i opted for a vit c supplement where you are supposed to dissolve 1/4 tsp of the powder in a small amount of water. That mixture would deliver 1,250 mg of vit c. Problem is, how come I still get sick so easy just like when I wasn't taking any vit c at all.

There are lots of factors on ways on how to get yourself sick like stress, environment, etc. Taking vitamin C daily will not exempt you from getting sick. If you are taking too much vitamin C then the excess will just go down and away together with your wastes like urine. I heard that the daily dose would be 1000mg of vitamin C. I'm not sure about this though.

I agree that disease is multifactorial. However, there are studies that show that we can actually utilize at most 3,000 mg of vit c. That's called megadose. So the dose is quite okay. But at least somehow, there must be improvement in my resistance, right? I think I should resort to Centrum. hehe
