gandor (337) | 4 years ago | Mustang. That's a good brand. How do i classify your rides, a 14yr old and an 11 yr old? Surely i couldn't tag them as classics. Would you be interested in a 67'? What do you think? Old or New?

gandor (337) | 4 years ago | Same here bro. When restoring a classic, be sure to have an extra car. Do not force your project for daily use. Caution, riding a classic is very addictive. Thanks for the response man.

gandor (337) | 4 years ago | I like the idea. But maybe I'll base my stand whether the car needs to be on the purist side or the transplant side. depending on the availability of parts and beneficial performance. Thanks man.

gandor (337) | 4 years ago | Me too. I've always been facinated with old cars, brought back to life. A head turner. On the other hand, a new model would be beneficial in terms of performance and comfort. But merely give it a few years and it's style is yesterdays news, just like that. I think I'll go for the TIMELESS choice. Thanks man.

10. cognigen (102) | 3 years ago | In my youth (until I was about 40), I collected 1960s Mustangs and 1960s muscle cars. I had every model from 1964 1/2 to 1969, fastback, sedan and convertible. The red 1966 convertible with the white top and interior were my favorites.
Today, my favorite car is my 1963 Cadillac convertible, which recently won the "best restoration" trophy at the Guadalajara car show. I also have a new Ford F350 and a new Jeep. In the past I have owned new and classic luxury cars, British and American. Rolls/Bentley is nice, of course, but too conspicuous in a way that I do not like. Jaguar and other sports cars such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lotus, and Lamborghini are also wonderful, but they also generate the wrong kind of attention; especially from traffic cops.
As far as a modern luxury car that is not too over the top, Mercedes sedans are nice; but my simple old Cadillac creates a lot of good conversation without undue attention. It also helps that I live in Mexico, and the local traffic cops know that if they demand a bribe from me that I will not lend them my classic Cadillac convertible when their daughter needs it for her wedding or other special event.

gandor (337) | 3 years ago | What you just said my friend is beyond my wildest imagination. Not many people have this kind of priviledge you have right now. It's not a joke to learn how to restore a classic, not to mention the deep deep pockets it requires. Anyways, I once planned to restore too a 64 1/2 mustang, unfortunately i got transfered to another location (work), so i ended up selling it to a pitiful price. You have endured cars far better than i met personally. It's really nice to hear from people who are in your caliber, and still find some time to talk to us people down here. Thanks for responding and sharing.
