We have a hound dog and she does not like the cold or the wet, just getting her to go outside is a major project. We have to watch her very carefully or she's apt to wait to long to go out. That means puddle at the door. Not a fun thing. HOw are your dogs doing in the cold?

I have 4 dogs. Three of them are not very fond of the cold weather. The one though really does not mind it at all. He usually stays outside all year unless it get really cold then we bring him in. But when he comes in he really does not make life easy because he does not like being inside at all.

Lizzie and Gizmo don't mind the cold. They like to run and play in the snow. They love to go for walks in the snow. I have no trouble getting them to go outside. I have to encourage them to come in. They will come in when they are tired or too cold. They don't like thunder and lightening. That is when they won't go out.

I don't think my dog really minds it. But I do know that she loves the hot, I mean the really hot. During the summer, sometimes she'll lie outside, in the sun, when it's 30-35 degrees Celsius. Sometimes I wonder how she can stand that. In those times, we need to have come back inside, so that she doesn't dehydrate to much or anything.

When I lived at home with my parents we had a very fussy dog. He didn't like the cold and absolutely hated the snow. We used to have to shovel a big spot of snow away just so that he would go to the bathroom. I guess the snow was just too cold for him to do his business.

Our beautiful dog, (you can view here: http://gandergentry.com/Chauncy/ ) loves the cold. Rain not so much. But definitely the snow. When he was a baby he had big paws that would stick out of the snow while the rest of him was buried. Regards

I have Huskies so yes they love the cold weather. I worry about them in the summer. They just aren't as active when the weather is hot. Their coats are so full right now and they love to see the snow fly!

My dog is half Huskey and goes ballistic in the snow!!! Loves it!! He often has more energy than I know what to do with! His thing in the morning though is that when I take him out to go (we are not fenced in so I have him on a lead) he is mesmerized by the falling flakes and takes forever getting around to doing his business! He also likes to just sniff the cold air (maybe there are more scents floating around in the winter?). There I stand in my Jammies! Come on! Go already!
