| |  I personally would not buy Norton. Simply due to past experiences while having Norton installed which, after installing, went away. The only other one I see on the list I even recognize as a top name is Mcafee and it's supposed to be one of the most secure almost to the point of annoying. Maybe the annoyance is what landed them at #7. Either way I have had success in the past with free antivirus software and don't really wan't to take the risk with norton. I may consider some of the others on the list, but doubt it.

| | That is why i say for year 2009. i am not asking to you buy norton antivirus. i am using it with crack. There are also many ways by which you can run a trial version over years.
I am also using norton antivirus free. Mcafee is also a good antivirus.
Where as norton is concerned it improve it performance subsiquently in the recent year. Many people criticized on the norton due to consumning lot of resources but this version is awesome. perhaps next another antivirus will be at top | | | |

| |  Good work i only use avast antivirus but he has not secured his position in the upcoming year and I am amazed to see norton in the top, i have read many review of norton from many sites and it is written norton has done a great job by increasing scanining speed, not use much resource, quick installation etc. So its going to war between the antivirus to be in top position. but even if u have the best AV it wont matter if u dnot update it.
so play it safe adn keep updating it
