When Chronic Pain Is Slow To Repond To Meds

I have chronic pain due to a secondary diagnosis of legs ulcers that was caused by deep vein thrombosis. Right now I am able to maintain pain management with percocetts at a 10/500 dose, but sometimes it takes longer than the norm for the pain to subside. When that happens I try to take my mind off of it by doing something else. like reading or crocheting, or watching tv. What do you do when you are waiting for the pain meds to take effect?

Well.. I often get the migraine and the meds is not as fast as it is advertised in TV. I usually lay down it the bed or sofa and made myself as relaxed as possible as the strain would make it more painful. After that I would try to have some sleep. Sleeping made me forget to feel the pain. I think that's what I did.

Klaudine, I use to get migraines, but when I was in my 30's they changed cycle. Before I use to get them about 7-8 a year. Now I get then maybe once or twice a year. DCMerkle
