Do you usually get half day or whole day annual leave at work?

I usually get the whole day annual leave from work because I think it's a better use of time and I don't have to wake up early. I start getting half days annual leave these days because I sort of don't want to waste my leave but I have something else to attend to in the afternoon, therefore, I just take half days. I feel like even though I am at work in the morning, I don't feel like working and I look forward to leaving the office already. *laughs*

If I am not very sick or have emergency, I seldom will take half day or whole day annual leave at work. I like to use up my annual leave for travel and so on. But this year it's impossible. As I used up my annual leave to have an operation in the hospital. Having the short time break isn't enough for me:) I love China

At my work, if we want to take annual leave we have to take at least a week of it. They don't allow just one day unless it is an emergency or something. If I want to take just one day off I usually just have a sickie ;-)

I also like to take the whole day annual leave, otherwise I think it'll be wasting my time and money to travel to work for half day then come home. Also, as you said, if we take the second half of the day off, we still need to wake up early, and we don't really get good rest too. Unless I have no other choice, I will not take half day leave.

Hello wondericequeen, I can take half day too and it depends whether I want to take half day in the morning or in the afternoon. I prefer to take half day in the afternoon as I don't have to come back to office after lunch hour. But since my afternoon working hour is just about two hours, I feel like I am wasting my leave. I always take half day leave in the morning but end up calling the office to get a whole day annual leave. Oh, yes! I can do that too!
