Do you pair and rol up your socks before putting them in the drawer?

Hey anne! Yes, I do roll up my socks and keep them in pairs!
It is so much easier to grab out a rolled up pair of socks
then to have to first pair them up when I'm ready to grab
them to take them with me into the bathroom when I take my
shower! My boyfriend on the other hand refuses to pair them
at all! He is a complete neat freak but for some strange reason
which he won't explain to me, he refuses to pair and roll his
socks! I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to do this! It
saves so much time!

my wife pared the socks before hanging it to dry so when i get it to put in the drawer i make sure i roll it with the pair. it is much easier to get a paired sock than looking for the other foot. specially when we are all in a hurry. since my wife hang it as pairs there is no reason not to keep t with the pair. i really hate waisting time looking for the other foot

Yes I always do and some how there are still odd socks, I just don't understand it, it is like the washer eats them up.

I have a hard time looking for socks, and my dryer eats them, so I will make sure that the dryer has not excuse by making sure the pairs match. It used to drive me crazy putting all my sons's socks together and who wears what and into what drawer to put them. The trouble is they all bought the same.

I do that too, I like to pair all the socks up with each other and roll them up and put them in the drawer, I like it better that way, its easier to find socks that match.

Hi Anne18
I always roll socks up into a pair and if I can't find the other one then I will leave it ontop of the drawers of whoever it belongs to until I find the other one. Sometimes, of course, I never do get them rolled up into a pair ever again!

yeap.. i do.. have to..
if not, my kids will be wearing unmatching socks to school.. and that will definitely come back to haunt me!!
my 3 children all wear white socks to school, each in different sizes.. and if you'd think the oldest of the lot (12 year old), would have more sense to pick the right sizes and pair them - think again... he'll just pick any two sock and wear them without even checking to see if they're the same size.. silly boy, dont you think?
it actually happened.. he made excuses that he was in such a hurry to catch the schoolbus in the morning.. hmmm...
???
anyways.. 'we' were lucky because he wears trousers to school.. and so no one saw that he had odd-sized socks that day..

Yup.. That's what my mom has been doing when i was a kid, and even till now, i'm following the way she does it.. hehe ^_^ It looks neater that way because it's like the shape of a ball.. lol =D And also, it sorts of saves space, makes one reach for the pair of socks easier.. hehe ^_^ PLus, i have about 40 pairs of socks at home, and thus i really need to roll them up, because sometomes, some socks of lousy quality will tend to shrink after washing.. lol =D Thus it's important to pair them up properly.. haha

Hi anne18.. I do rolled up socks in pair before I put them in the drawer. I prefer to do it that way in order to save space and so neat look at when things are in order and in proper places. It also saves time for me to hunt one pair to another. This habit is what I am imposing to my boyfriend since he just dump his socks to his drawers and that annoys me a lot everytime he will ask if I know where's the other pair of his sock.

Ah, another silly discussion to practice my typing skills on :). Well I used to pair up the socks and put them in a ball together before I stored them away, but I have stopped doing that recently. Part of the reason is that I used to have many kinds of socks, but now I only have 2 kinds so it's easy to match them up. Also, I find that when they are balled up fewer of them fit in the drawer, which can be a bit inconvenient. I guess my system is kind of lazy, but it works fine for me :).

Every time! You bet I do. I just can't stand when my socks get lost if I don't roll'em and ball'em up real good before I put them away in my drawer. I buy new socks pretty often because I love warm feet and plus my ding dong headed husband wears my socks after he puts holes in his socks, so I end up going to the store because after he wore my socks too many times I start to lose interest in my socks. They starts to look kinda worn out.

I hate having socks rolled up into a ball, so when I have socks, I fold the tops over to hold them together before putting them in a drawer. Since I've taken to wearing socks with no tops, though, I have to roll them since that's the only way they can be done. But, I think rolling up the socks before folding the tops down only helps stretch out the tops before their sock-life is over.

Oh Yes! I would hate my socks not to be in pairs Anne. I sit every night and sort them all out into pairs for all the family.
My youngest daughter however has quite a few odd ones at the moment. I bet they are all hiding behind her bed again. I should leave them there and make her wear odd ones as I am fed up hunting for them.

I do pair my socks before putting it to my drawer. I dont like the idea of looking the other pair when I want to use it. It cost me too much huzzle.

I do pair up my socks before putting them in the drawer. It is convenient and it does not take time just to look for the partner of each pair. I am also used to it since I was a small kid so up to now, we are still doing it at home.
