I'm a light sleeper so sounds definitely keep me up at night or when I'm napping. I did find a solution with earplugs though. It doesn't necessarily block out all the sounds, but it does make it seem very distant and consequently not irksome. I would just fall asleep right away. What about you?

My husband gave me high tech earplugs last month, and they were the best gift ever. I am not a light sleeper, but I do have very sensitive ears, and certain noises drive me crazy. The hum of the TV while I am trying to fall asleep drives me crazy. The earplugs have saved me.

i hate trying to sleep when it is noisey too! i have them and still use them on occassion but i find that they can cause ear infections because for 8 hours your ears are warm and moist which is a super breading ground for infections. i try not to wear them too much.

I'm not really a light sleeper. Once I get to sleep, I'm fine. However, it's when I'm trying to sleep that can be the problem.

When I was pregnant with our second child, I had problems sleeping at times because my husband was breathing so loudly. I tried ear plugs, but those things were so uncomfortable. Eventually, we found a way around it. We just slept with a boxfan on.

Now, either I'm getting use to him, or his breathing has stopped being so loud. lol
