Irish BEEF could be cleared from the shelves as dioxin scare spreads

The health alert around Irish pork has spread to beef after tests found illegal levels of cancer risk chemicals in the meat. Beef from cattle on three farms in the south of Ireland has tested positive for dioxins, while tests on feed given to animals on eight farms from Northern Ireland are due later this week.
