Ok Here is another question where do you hang your Christmas stocking if you have no chimney? On the Tree? on a wall, We have a pass thoguh from the kitchen to the living room so it serves as out "mock" mantel since we have no fire place. So What other creative ideas have you come up with?

That is a common problem and no one ever gives us mom's a good answer to that! Many times I have not had a fireplace, and just hung them on a bookcase (like now!) or other hangable place! I told the kids I leave the key to the back door under the pot (or whatever is out there) for Santa to use...Theynever asked or questioned it.

Hadn't thought about not needing a key - that is a good one! Have to remember that one for my grand daughter now age 2!

Oh I like that idea a bookcase. I told my kids when they were young that santa prefers not sliding down chimneys becasue it is ast to use the front door, and he is SANTA so no key was needed... they were fine with that too.

We bought a stocking holder. It's a big wooden pole looking thing with Santa's head at the top. It has 6 hooks on it that we can hang our stockings on. It works pretty well, except that it tends to fall over with the weight. We have to make sure we prop it up against the wall so it doesn't fall. I wish we had a chimney!

Hahaha...nice question, man. I got to say you have put forward a question we may ignored somehow. Well, since we don't have our fireplace or chimney nowadays, we may can't find a suitable place to hang our stocks for a time. But, think for a whil, you may get a good replcement. Can we just draw a picture of a beautiful chimney and then put up the picture on a wall. After that, we got a really really nice place to hang our stocks. Is it also Ok?

I was adopted and my parents got me a few days before christmas, I was literally delivered in a stocking with my name.. HOLLY in green glitter. I hang my stocking every year.... but we no longer have a chimney.... My mom put it on the back of the door. So that it is visible inside the house. I have put it on my wall, I have laid it under the tree, I have hung it on the refridgerator. LOL! My stocking has been put in some really interesting places. I used it in my dorm room to show it was my room. We made a large one for my roommate too... That's what we collected out christmas presents and cards in.... It was kind of neat....
