Well, Microsoft Windows is a Great Operating System But Many Peoples Don't likes All Future of Windows Like We Like "MOZILLA" more than "Internet Explorer" So after all I ask You about do you still Use Windows Media Player??? If So Which Version of WMP??? Well, I Also Don't like Windows Media Player Because I have already K-lite Codec Pack & its Great for me I have WMP 9.0 Still But I Don't use it. So What About Ya Guys???

I used winamp instead of windows media player because winamp is easier to use and more flexible. I can even download the free skin for winamp in many places.

It is a little bit lighter (it doesn't spend so many resources while playing) and it become famous because of the community made skins (which mean that in the remote chance that you don't like one of the thousands skins available, you can always create your own) and the fact that it is very flexible and if you spend some time configurating it, you will eventually have exactly what you want.
It's developed by the Nullsoft Team, and there is a free and a Pro version. Go for it @http://www.winamp.com/player.

The interesting thing about winamp is that you can have either modern winamp or classic winamp, which both are good, and you can customize the skin. Just google for winamp skin and you would be able to get as much as you want. | |

| 2. prasanth_s (731) | 1 year ago | I dont use windows media player.There are many better media players than that.I use gom player instead.Windows media player doesn't support many video formats and it may show errors every now and then.I never use anything that comes default with my operating system.Like you said, Internet explorer is not as good as mozilla firefox.When i used to use ineternet explorer I had all kind of problems with it.Most of my problems were solved when i switched to mozilla firefox.In the same way I dont use windows media player.I am not saying that windows media player is bad,but it is not as good as some other media players.Whenever i try to watch videos with wmp I get some codec errors and even if i install the codec it will again show some other error.So i quit messing up with it and started using gom player which is way better than windows media player. | |

The competition between these to Browsers also represent the competitiveness between open-source and the classical closed-source software.
Open-Source software is software the the developers found useful to release not only the program ready to use, but also the source-code of the program (the "text" programmers write when building a program). The plus side of the open-source software is that there are millions of people around the world checking the program for errors and suggesting certain improvements. This works for Firefox.
On the other hand we have microsoft Internet Explorer, which, like any microsoft program, is a closed-source program. They only release the program it-self. And guard the source code locked with seven keys in their headquarters. There are various supposed reasons for they to do so:
-they might think that by showing the source-code of the program that would bring down their sales;
-they may be somehow embarrassed by their own code:D
-they may have malicious code running with the program that permit them make statistics and/or profiling their users

It also organizes my music better windows media player is a bit slow. In the same way I also Use firefox rather than Internet explorer because of the same reason that it is slower for me than Firefox.
