Selective Amnesia in a Deja Vu Kind of Way

I sure do hate repeating myself. Maybe it's a fault. Whatever. Without getting into too many of the details, I'm in marriage counseling. And this topic keeps coming up over and over and over again. Every week my husband says he gets it. Every week he blows it. Every week we're back in counseling and he doesn't get it AGAIN. We go over it again and he gets it. Until he doesn't get it any more. Aargh! I know we're dealing with a denial thing here but how frustrating not to get your point across week after week after week for months!
