Anybody ever use an ING Direct Savings account?

I had thought about using this savings account for awhile now and I am interested in knowing more about it also. Is it safe as far as putting our money there? Will they sell out to another bank in the near future? Are the deposits FIDC insured? IF not, I am not sure that I want to do it. Someone please give more inforamtion on this company if you use them. Thanks.

I have always been happy with ING. I have had accounts there for many years. Transfers between their accounts are instant. Transfers between outside banks take a few day, just like any other bank. They have an interest earning checking account too that, like their savings, does not have fees. Their customer service has always been nice and helpful. They never hesitate to raise their interest when they are able. Right now of course is not a interest raiseing time of course. If you can look for bonus offers where they will give you money for opening account, usually $25. I recommend them!

We have an account with ING Direct and it works really neat and the interest rate is little bit higher than other banks cos they don't have personal banking set up. They work online.
