How safe are you in your backyard?

With terrorism taming on ugly proportions, i really wonder if we are safe in our backyards or even at home. The Mumbai terror attacked proved that we are not safe at all. Imagine you going out to dinner with your sweetheaert to a 5 Star hotel and then sudeenly someone comes in with a AK-47 Automatic rifle and starts spraying bullets at you. What is your crime? Youonly went out to have a peaceful dinner with your sweetheart. is there any method to this madness? Take another instance. You get out of your home to go see off your son who is going back to his hostel after a well deserved holiday and as you reach the station you find that some gun toting youngsters overpower you fire at you and push you out of your car and take it and make a get away. They have shot and killed a dozen people at teh railway station and injuerd over two dozen. What was your fault or the fault of any of these people? This is sheer madness. Where is it going to end? Who teaches such hatred? Why target innocents? Which God condones this? Are we really safe in our backyards anymore?

Good discussion. It's a scary world, and that's what the terrorists want. However, you can also be struck by lightning and killed, or in a fatal car accident... There are many "what ifs?" that can occur, and many of them are very scary and real possibilities, but I choose to spend my life living rather than worrying. It's one thing to be cautious, but it's another to be consumed by terror. I don't think life would be worth living if I had to fear every second of it! Best wishes -- and try to stay safe, but please don't let it overwhelm you.
