Hi, I was wondering if anyone gets paid to proofread. I LOVE doing it but I can't seem to find that many paid opportunities to do it. I've made about $300 this year, but I'd love to do more next year! I just wanted to know if there's anyone out there who gets paid to proofread and how they went about getting it. Thanks!

I haven't tried proofreading. It's nice to hear that you've been actually paid. I know you work hard for it and you really deserve your earnings.

Hello browneyed! It seemed your work got repaid :) 300$ are always welcome huh :P...unfortunately i haven't heard from proofreading. Because my english grammar is a bit faulty i don't think that I could do some decent earning from this. Good luck!

Hi Octavian, Yes, $300's good. It was earned over the year though, not in one bulk. Good luck to you too, whatever you choose to do. take care...

I find proofreading interesting. I enjoy looking through content, checking for any grammatical/spelling errors I can find, etc. If only I could find more work in that area, that would be grand! Yes, $300 isn't bad. It wasn't earned in one go though, but over the year. I didn't get the jobs from any one particular site. It was a mixture of emailing websites that I felt needed proofreading and applying to the handful of people who announced they were looking for a proofreader. I tried Typobounty.com but there aren't that many opportunities on there. Got about $4 from there and that's it. I also regularly pass through the Content Creation section on one of Digital Point's forums (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102)(p.s.: not an affiliate link). I've been more successful there, but again, the opportunities aren't that many. take care...
