what was the name of the cruise ship that sank in santorini?

I remember a video clip in one of the video websites that featured a poor luxury cruise ship that ran aground and eventually sank in Santorini. What was the name of that ship? There were several videos that covered the ship, from the evacuation of almost all the passengers (2 were missing, if i recall correctly), to the desperate pumping out of the water, to the eventual listing and sinking the next day.
and anybody who was info regarding the ship itself? thanks in advance!

Hi! Perhaps you are referring to the MS Sea Diamond? It was a cruise ship which struck rocks in April 2007 and sank off the shores of Santorini. There were more than two thousand passengers and crew onboard. Two passengers were lost in the accident. The wreck is still there, salvaging it is a dangerous undertaking as it rests on an undersea ledge.

Ah I see. Yeah, I think it was the MS Sea Diamond. Such a tragic loss because of two reported missing passengers and of the ship itself. And thanks for the info regarding the wreck itself. I had no idea that it could not be salvaged because of its current position. It reminds me of the infamous MV Princess of the Stars incident here in the Philippines. Although the massive ship rests on shallow waters, its stern is reported to be dangerously close to an underwater cliff. But I think salvors here are working on preventing the massive ship from sliding.
