Gears of War 2 vs. Call of Duty: World at War  

CoD4: Modern Warfare will be my answer. I never got to play GearsOW because my PC sucks and I don't have a X360. And the only thing I know, besides the BIG men and a gun with chainsaw, is that the graphics are awesome and it's not your typical run and gun shooter. With World at War, my only problem is that they have deviated from the "fresh approach" and came back with the World War set again, for like the 4th time in the series(minus the CoD game released on PSP, which is like a spin-off FPS for the PSP and still in the WWII era). I want that modern warfare effect. At least put the decency of using like even 1950s-1990 warfare era. WWII shooters are flocking all over the PC and Console Gaming.

I envy you, you get to have them both this Christmas. For me, I'm stuck with my PS3 and will be waiting for Killzone 2 on Feb, or maybe Shiro Kishi Monogatari on April. Or maybe I'll beg my father to even get me any game this December.

i can't give much of an opinion on gears of war because i haven't played that game, but i must say that call of duty 4: modern warfare is much more popular among people and its multiplayer is more liked as compared to world at war. but if you like the world war 2 setting, then go for it... of course there are players of world at war as well.

but just for another option for you, i would recommend you to play left 4 dead. it has 5 player co-operative gameplay, where you play as survivors who are outnumbered against zombies. the biggest plus point for this game is that it has a unique dynamic enemy spawn every time you play any level, so you cannot predict where the enemy will come from even when you replay the level.
