Cold Enough For You???  

yeah, it took a while for me to get used to when i first moved here.
i would go somewhere in shorts during the day, and be regretting it when the sun went down.
as for the summer months................that's why God gave us air conditioning and swimming pools.

well, for me Las Vegas IS NOT like the TV or the mags, cuz i'm always inside WATCHING TV and reading mags.

when you live here you rarely do the typical Las Vegas things unless someone comes in from out of town.

*note to sconi, remember girlfriend's dad and brother coming from Germany in April......make list of "typical Las Vegas things" to do*

this discussion is not about "PEOPLE".....it's about WEATHER and what kind of weather my fellow MYLOTters are experiencing.

yeah, i lived in the mid-west for quite a few years....Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Missouri so i'm no stranger to winter weather.

what is this "RAIN" stuff you speak of???
we're always in a drought..........who would of thunk to build a city in the middle of the desert???
yeah, we get snow down here every so often, but it doesn't hang around.

yeah, this cold front just moved in, so i'm sure it'll still be here tomorrow.

i remember going to San Francisco when i was just a cub, and all it did was rain and fog.......but whatcha gonna do?

I'm looking at snow on the mountains surrounding Vegas as we taxi in :)....brrrrr

Uggggg, my flight just got delayed again going out of Vegas because it's snowing real bad.

Ha Ha, i'm looking out the window right now and it's coming down pretty good.
i live on the west side of the valley, pretty far from McCarran but i guess this time it's hitting the whole valley.
anyway, have a safe trip home.

Thanks. I'm back in the hotel room because they just canceled all flights out of McCarren. Oh well, the snow is beautiful

yeah, looks like most of the country is going to get hit by this cold front that hit us.
we get snow here every couple of years but it doesn't hang around very long.
long enough for people to make a snowman or 2, make the evening news, and then it's gone by the next day.
i guess as long as we're having fun.

yeah, i also prefer summer to winter.
the nice thing about Vegas is if you want snow you can drive about a half hour to Mount Charleston and play in the snow.

yes, i prefer warm weather over cold.
fortunately our winter is pretty short here in Las Vegas and it will be blazing hot again before we know it.

it must be nice living on the coast....i used to live about 5 miles from the coast when i lived in California.

yeah, the last couple of weeks were nice......it's the best time of the year, electric bill wise.......no AC and no heater.
we're getting hit by a cold front from our maple leaf loving friends up north.
it's supposed to blanket most of the country.

we'll feel like we're sitting on the sun again soon enough.
