| | Hi. I usually try to take the multi on a daily basis, but I would not be inclined to take anything else, as my diet should provide me with everything I need. The only thing I would be an advocate of is prospective/expecting mothers taking folic acid, to avoid the condition known as spina bifida. Happy myLotting! | | | | | | |

| | Of course, yes. All pregnant women should take those vitamins, whether they wish to keep the baby or not. Is it crazy I love orange juice and folic acid even though I don't want a baby? I always figured it was a hormonal thing. | | | |

| | I take a multi every day,vit C in the winter months, and vit D per Dr's order. My diet does not provide all that I need although I admit it should provide more than it is. My vit D level is low engouh that my rheumatoligest (not sure of spelling) said I could stand in the sun 6 hours a day, naked and not get enough Vit D to bring it up where it should be. meg | | | |

| | I didn't mention it in the post, but I do eat oatmeal, citrus, apples, etc. :) And I drink tea. | | | |

| | Oatmeal, citrus and apples are very good. Tea is ok as a diuretic to flush out your liquids but must be taken only occasionally as it makes your bone brittle. Smile. Have a nice day.. ('_') | | | |

| | Green tea is so full of minerals that it counteracts bone brittleness; in fact, it promotes bone density. Yet another reason green tea rules. :) | | | |

| | I take a multivitamin for women once a day. I also take fish oil because I dont eat fish and it is supposed to be good for the heart, vitamin b complex because I am anemic. | | Oh hey, you don't need to eat fish to get that "fish nutrient". You can get it just the same, if not richer, from flax seed oil. To warn you, it does smell a bit fishy. (There's a reason fish smell like they do, after all! But hey, if you get flax oil from seeds, no fish have to die.) And yeah, I understand anemia. It can be tiring. Do you get enough B vitamins? | | | |

| | It is good Multi vitamins and calcium is good after child birth woman should start taking calcium and after 40yrs better to start multi. It is better to get our vitamins from natural resource but some time that may not be enough for our body so we take muti, iron supplement, calcium etc.... if you want to see dietitian you can they will recommend with proper diet plan. | | | | | | |

| | Calcium and Iron are both important for your body but they remain dormant and un-absorbed if they do not react with other amino-acids. The body must have high amounts of protein, specially Carnosine (often in red meat like beef), so that they can "ride" on the protein for the Calcium to reach the bones and for the Iron to go to the muscles. According to the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), you must drink full-cream milk, not low-fat, to get maximum results. | | | |

| | hello Miss Nice Smile Beeeckie....LOL... I am a very active person in various sports - marathoner, tennis, soccer, basketball, and mountain biking. All these I do, not just for recreation, but on a very competitive level. That means that I have no choice but to really take care of my body and mind and maintain good health. I used to take plenty of vitamins and nutrients in commercial preparations until I started getting into the demanding sport of ultra-marathon where whatever I do to my body has instantly become a matter of life and death. I was forced to do extensive studies on health and on the food that I eat. My various sports doctors who specialize in cellular nutrition gave me various orientations totalling several months and what they taught me made me understand that I do not really need any multi-vitamins if I just eat the right foods. Instead of taking what they call pop-vitamins, I learned that eating the foods that have those vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients is far better, safer, and even more economical. You may have heard of the importance of lecithin, inositol, and choline? These three make your circulation better as they clear the harmful oxidized tri-glycerides that are deposited in your arteries and veins. They also help you in repairing damaged tissues, especially in the small globules of your lungs. These are all available in tablet form from your drugstores, but at a cheaper price, you can drink full-cream milk, or eat eggs or unprocessed cheese and get results as much as five times better. You get bottles of Vitamin-A syrup from the drug store to make your vision clearer as when joined by various amino-acids, it balances the fluids in your eyeball. A better alternative is to eat squash, mangoes, papaya, carrots, unprocessed cheese and eggs (again?), and get results far better than the medicine. Vitamin-E is known to remove harmful oxydized free-radical intermediates and also recycles back to your body the alpha-tocopheroxyl. A better option is to expose any part of your skin to early-morning sunlight for at least 15 minutes and it will give you far better results than taking the expensive tablet. Ascorbate, more commonly known as Vitamin-C, is proven to be effective in alleviating various ailments like colds, allergies, anemia, pneumonia, and various infections. Numerous brands and in different preparations are available, but eating tomatoes, citrus, guava, etc. is far more efficient than swallowing the tablet. And the list of better solutions goes on and on... You must not fall into the trap that doctors have laid for you to ensure that they do not run out of patients to treat. Exert some effort to study good nutrition so that you may find it easier to understand the food prescribed by homeopathic doctors who avoid the drugs manufactured by the the big drug companies. Make your body depend on the food that you eat, and on the healthy lifestyle that you can lead. Bon appetit. | | | | | | |
