Hi, ashvini_urs! Yes, i have watched Resident Evil! It`s a nice modern Zombie movie that the director Paul W.S. Anderson made in 2002. And the actress Milla Jovovich played her role very good i think. Also the movie has some pretty good special effects, but i have wished to see some more "scarier" effects, if you know what i mean! Also the whole setting of the Umbrella research facility was pretty scary and futuristic. I liked it when the special-forces of the military was hunting/or was hunted by the zombies, that was some good action. Also the creepy animal-zombies, like the mutated dogs and the other mutations looked pretty good. You know, i don`t like computer-generated special effects (FX) so much, but in this case they looked pretty naturaly and creepy. The optics of the movie remembered somhow on the computer-games, but some reviewers or let me call them critics, had in their opinion that the movie does not cath the game-athmosphere the right way. They said also the story was too far away from the original game! That maybe true, but i think if you look appart from that, the movie "Resident Evil" is kind of an interesting and "fast" action-movie, which is good to be watched by horror-fans and even by people who are willing to see a nice action-movie! So if i had to rate the first part of the "Resident Evil" series, i would give the movie 8 points out of 10! Ten would be the best (just for explanation). So if anybody has not seen the movie till today (hey, the movie is from 2002!!! Come on...), then it`s time to go to the next DVD renatl and get it. It`s not the worst zombie-movie, i have seen worse zombie flicks than that one. Have a very nice day!

Part 1 is the best of the Resident Evil series, although the last one "Extinction" is interesting too, just not as a zombie movie.

I'd agree with the folks that said "28 days Later" and "28 Weeks Later", as far as being more realistic. I'd have to add the "Dawn of the Dead" remake to that list.

Those give you a better feel of what a zombie world would be like. I used to go to a website that did nothing but discuss zombie films, and what they'd do if there was a zombie outbreak and stuff. Check out their forums if you're interested in what they have to say. www.allthingszombie.com

There's also a pretty good book that will REALLY get you thinking about it, even though it's kinda' funny at times. "Zombie Survival Handbook" by Max Brooks. He has another one that's also supposed to be pretty good "War Z", or "World War Z" or something like that.

I used to think about this stuff all the time and one day I'd love to write my own story about it. It seems like folks overlook a lot of stuff that would happen, like all power would be shut off because there;'s no one ot run the power plants, (or water stations) for that matter. That ALONE would make survival dificult, without having loads of undead folks trying to eat you.

Another good zombie film is a comedy called "Shaun of the Dead", and it focuses on how much we're already LIKE zombies, and how long it'd take most of us to even notice the difference. VERY funny film.

I saw all all three movies. They were all great and packed full of action. I think the second one was the best. There was more action. she got to fight the big juggernaunt guy. He pretty blazing with his machine guy chowing down everyone.
