I was watching the doctors show today and they had home remedies. One lady used a bright red finger nail polish on a quater sized wart that was on her sons foot, (the bottom of it). She put the bright red polish on it and left it there until it was ready to just be pulled ff with no effort. She didn't say how long. She did say it came off easily and in whole. The polish and the wart came off with no effort and it was all together.
Another one had a new concept for lower fevers in babies and children. Take a white sock and soak it in egg whites, wrap it around the childs foot, leave it there over night. The fever will be gone. The doctors said they would only use it in fevers lower than 102. If they went they high they want you to go to the doctor with them. This is what I'd do anyway.
Do you have some home remedies to share with us? I'd love to hear some if you do.
Thank you in advance for all replies.

I can still remember my grandma's remedies for fever when I used to be a young kid. She used to make a dough out of flour and water and paste it on my feet. She used to put a facecloth rinsed in cold water on my head. Usually it worked. i don't know if it can be credited to the dough or facecloth remedy.

I don't know either ronald, tey are interesting ideas. I do remember something about dough from the old days, lol. But I don't know what it was or how it worked either. There are a lot of remedies from old times aren't they?

Hello, fingernail polish for a wart. That is a good one and a lot less expensive than the medicine for them.I don't know any home remedies other than the ones I read about.I would like to hear about new ones too.I have never heard about the sock solution either, but a good one if it works.Keep posting. Thanks for the info.

Thank you mc. Yes, I thought they were really different ones too. As a few docotrs were backing them up I guess they work. The show comes on I think everyday. I'm not sure about this though. It's called doctors and they give advice about things n their field. One is an Obg, a pediatrician, and I don't remember the other two what their field is. I hope to be able to post more as my health allows. Have a really good day.

oh wow they are unusual hints, I love reading about things like this, I remember when I was a kid we used to get rid of warts with the milk from a weed called milk thistle, I am not sure what the real name is but it worked, makes you wonder doesn't it..

I havent ever tried using nail polish on warts but I do use tea tree oil and it works if u dab it on the wart & wrap black electrical tape around it so no air gets to it. Within about 3 days the wart will dry up and you can peel it off. Then you have to keep using it for a few more days or the wart will just grow back again. When I was in high school a friend of mine and I were painting with paint in the art room for a few days. Her wart that had been on her finger for years went away. We assumed it was from the formaldahyde that was in the paint.

Yes, nail polish can be used but you have to use a dark color and they say to use a dark red. I don't know why. It must be something that is in it. Also you can not use the polish on anything else so either pour some in something else and use a q-tip or something else or through out the bottle after use.

Well that makes sense after the wart is gone you would have to throw the nail polish away since it is contaminated and would just give you more warts or spread them to others if you let them use your nail polish. I've had toe nail fungus because of that so I never let anyone share nail polish.
