The only thing that made me quit was when I was hospitalized for bronchitis and some other chronic lung problem. And that was around ten years ago. It made me think I don't wanna have serious health problems before I'm thirty. Sure I relapsed once in a while but then when I smoke, I could feel all that nicotine and tar sticking to my lungs as I inhale. Then I remember not to smoke another stick.
Quitting is hard. In my case, it took something drastic to eventually make me think and decide to quit... for good.

That incident scared me too. That was the reason I quit. I can't really suggest any other way to quit smoking since I already tried a lot and they didn't work.
I guess the only way to quit is will power and the thought that something bad will happen in the near future if you don't quit. The very near future. I know this is hard for you since you still haven't experienced first hand the bad effects of smoking but if you picture yourself having lung cancer, God forbid, within the next couple of years, it may motivate you to quit.
Good luck on your journey back to health.
