hi all!
almost all of us probably experienced headaches and/or migraines. from what i can recall, headaches are different from migraines. a migraine is a type of severe headache that may have a variety of triggers, such as stress, certain reaction to food or medicines, and the likes. most migraines are so severe that they can make you vomit. headaches, on the other hand, are said to be milder, but annoying and crippling nevertheless. nausea or vomiting is rare in ordinary headaches, but they can be caused by milder reasons such as lack of sleep, hunger (hypoglycaemia) or sudden change in temperatures, or an illness or fever. headaches can easily be dealt with by paracetamol (acetaminophen) or mefenamic acid, or even ibuprofen. migraines can possibly be dealt with by ibuprofen, but some migraines are "incurable" and you'll just have to wait until the migraine episode stops.
when i was working in a bank, i rarely had migraines, but i always had headaches because of the late lunch time that we always had. when i moved to a background screening firm, where stress is worse, i encountered migraines more often. i even had to rush to the washroom to throw up due to the extreme discomfort of migraines. now that i've resigned, i don't have headaches or migraines anymore. although i have a "figurative" headache of worrying about money. LOL!
how about you guys? which do you encounter more often, headaches or migraines?
