My son was just reading about a critic's choice for favorite movies in the newspaper. "I haven't even heard of most of these! Except for Wall-E."
He would say his favorite movie this year is "The Dark Knight". In 14 year old lingo it was : Suh-weeet!

This is awful! I've been thinking so hard about what was the best movie that I had seen when I realised that I don't think that I saw a movie this year. I don't remember going to any movies. so I'm too ignorant to take part in this discussion. Blessings

I'm actually in the same position as I can only think of one movie that I saw this year.
My son has been seeing lots of them with friends lately.

My favorite movie of the year 2008 is The vantage point.The movie tells the same story from 8 different perspectives, most of them from a character view, makes the puzzle clear till the end. Some puzzle parts can be guessed but this makes the movie so fun to watch.

I haven't really watched alot of new movies this year. I guess my favorite that I have seen that was released this year is Baby's Momma. It was pretty hilarious. I heard alot of good things about Fireproof. I need to see it.

I'm so sad my friend that I can't even answer the question of your son. Do you know that 2008 is almost over but I have not seen a single movie. Ha!ha!ha! That is true. I am so busy that I can't even find them to watch a movie. My son would watch them at DVD at home most of the time. Sometimes I'd sit with him to watch but could not even afford to finish watching in entirety. I always would think of doing something else. I'm literally a busy-body.

My sons have got Wall-E but I haven't seen it yet. There are very few films I have seen because I don't ever go to the movies. I must say that Kung Fu Panda was a good film though so I will have to say that was my favourite movie of 2008!
