Just curious as to how mylot administrator would rate a past discussion that got a response.Does the value of the discussion decrease or increase with age or its the quality that still matters. How would you want your past discussions to be rated ?

I'm far from an expert on Admin's thinking. However, judging from experience, Admin does not look to see how old the discussion is. You have still responded to a discussion & it's still the QUALITY that counts. I've responded to some as old as 3 years & it appeared my earnings stayed about the same as when I responded to one 6 minutes old. I'm sure the owner of an older discussion appreciates your response also as it pulls that discussion back out to where others can see it & get the opportunity to answer it. So, I frequently go back to the older discussions simply because I find their content to be of more quality & more challenging for my brain!!!

Ok thanks for you answer, you may have a point at least you have provided me with a way to check the rating .I suppose now all I have to do is respond to only old discussions and then respond to new discussions and then compare my earnings from the two.

I didn't plan it that way. It just happened by accident. I think there was a 2 cent difference in earnings. I know I didn't type the exact same number of words & consider 2 cents not to be enough to count as paying different.

hey that's a good question. i had been pondering about it too. but they will also pay you more if you post lenghty posts with substance too am i right? it would be great if my discussions can be rated by how many people replied. so the more people replies that more money i earn. like say, for every reply i get, i get maybe 1 cent. haha. one can only hope right.

I think the quality of the post and responses factor into it .

Any post should be counted as it is action on your account,I have answered a couple of old discussions, andI assumed it was just like anyother, unless someone tells me different.
