It's only 11 days to go and we will conclude 2008. I am looking forward to embrace the year ahead. As early as now, I have these primary things in mind to start come 2009, to stop and to continue:
START:
1. keeping a journal (again!). It has been 10 months or so since I stopped writing but next year, I am determined to start writing again.
2. to SMILE. Yeah' right. Where i work, I am often mistaken as a snob. Once they talk to me or they have something to discuss with me, that is only the time that they will know i am not that snob at all.
3. saving money! hahaha! I will start (or at least try to start) giving frugal living a shot. Global crisis is imminent and I should be more cautious and responsible financially for myself and for my twins.
STOP:
1. arriving late! hahah! i think I can do this one.
2. buying impulsively! (I need more strength here)
3. myself when i'm in the urge of saying something straight but true to someone
CONTINUE:
1. my passion at work.
2. learning everyday!
3. being a good mom to my twins (or so i thought...but i know i still have to make improvement in this area)
Before we know it, 2009 is already greeting us. The list is just short. it may be forgotten, it may not be followed at all. But this list, no matter how short it is, will help me reflect... of the person I truly am and rewire my thinking to a better person loved by more... loved by myself.
Your own list of START...STOP AND CONTINUE is highly appreciated. This is for all of us. For a better year, a better start.

I like the way you think.
Start:
1. Saving money - we just bought a new house and I want to have a poop happens funds.
2. being more regular about going to the gym. I paid the money and I go sporadically, but I believe it will do me more good if it is a more regular thing
Stop:
1. being overly generous with my time at work. I am enabling them to take advantage of the amount of time I spend there. IF they want me to do the work, they need to pay me for the time. (and I need to start tooting my own horn a little. They need to know I am fabulous)
Contiue:
1. Paticipating inthe parenting support organizations to which I belong. Sometimes children with ADHD and ODD are... a challenge. We all need coping skills, and these support groups help me keep my chin up on the tough days.
Good outlook.

Thanks for a very precise and meaningful response. Here's hoping that everything you strive to accomplish will come your way smoothly for 2009 especially the Continue part. As a parent, both of us need to sacrifice something for our kids; need to do and show our best to help them be the person we want them to be.
Your new friend,
margaux

This is a nice discussion, and a really good one to think of all the resolutions we should be setting.
For myself, and my fiance :
Start :
Saving More Money. We don't really spend our money, but we need to really come up with a way to save more.
Planning Our Wedding. We need to start figuring out what exactly we're going to do. We know, but we need to do it.
Continue:
Making Money Here. Basically, making as much as we can and saving as much as well.
Being as helpful as we can be to his parent's, and my mom.
Praying with all we have.
Stop:
Procrastinating, I don't think a explanation is needed. lol.
