Free 411 info via google on phone

I was reading somewhere that google offers this free service for 411. Instead of dial 411 on your cell dial 1-800-goog-411 & it's supposed to be free instaed of charging the normal 411 charges. has anyone else heard of this? i've not tried it or anything yet i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

I heard about this once through someone. I think it's brilliant and overdue. It's a ridiculous charge to have to deal with.

Hi. halynn. I have never heard of this before. I have written it down to put in my records just in case that I need it though. I hope that it is totally free and it does not come with any hidden costs or obligations.
