ceoliac, disease in a 2 yr old, how long for test results? and general info pls

after 2 years of diarohea my 2 year old son has just had blood tests for ceoliac disease, his peadiatricion said the results will take a month the com back?!?!? why is this and is the the normal procedure.
also i would like any info sufferers have on the condition or maybe a relative of a sufferer
