Found out yesterday that my pal Jimbo who got banned from here is now a moderator over on MoronChat. I miss him here but I think it's great that he's found a place to fit in. Love the irony though. Have you ever had the experience of being banned one place and then turned it around and managed to fit in really well somewhere else?

Jimbo was a good entertainer here, & was well-liked by many. I have no idea what he did here that got him banned, but it seems that every time he came back, he ended up banned again. Furthermore, you & I met because of him.
If he can pull some strings & get you back on that other site, I would be willing to sign up under you. I am fussy on who I sign up under being that I don't really care much for ending up under some unknown person's downline.
Just don't get run over by those walking lions.

Well (ahem) shhhhhh.... Maybe I am over there (evil grin) and the Admin obviously hasn't heard of IP anonymizers.
I guess the last time he was banned it was because of having multiple accounts. Certainly he didn't do anything that I could see. Earlier I heard he got in some heated discussions but far as I know he didn't do anything that was any more out of line that anybody else. Shame. I miss having him here, but now that I'm banned over there's still e-mail.

Well - it depends on the sides of the stories. If it was an unjust banning like what I have seen in the past happen here, they have no credibility if they don't leave it like that. Also, if it was a personal argument between you & a moderator, it should have remained as that - between you & the moderator. I was not there to see the argument or anything, but if it involved something serious & was about a site violation, well, I would have to see. I have de-modded a moderator (I was told that I invented that term - as in removed moderator privileges & took away his "toys) on cashglow for that reason - (second time they used moderator privileges in an argument that was personal - after being warned the first time it happened).

PS probably if he tried to pull strings over there it would get him in trouble. I posted some rather (ahem) unkind things about the site after I got banned.

Are we talking about the jimbo that had the little lion as his avatar (picture)? He was very nice, uh oh I never knew he got banned. Uh, didn't he have multiple accounts because the first one wouldn't let him log in so he had to dich it & create a new log in? At least that's what he says---I tend to believe him. Uh, MoronChat? I never knew there was another forum like myLot, uh oh!
Uh yea I was banned but reinstated (finally) at Yahoo Answers. I had answered a question that was against their Terms of Service and they decided to band me...that made me mad...they've decided to reinstate the account after three disputes...so we'll see if I use it a lot.

I didnt know you could be banned he must have done something awfully bad.I have never been banned from anything I always do my best to follow the rules.You have a great night and Happy New Year to you.

I think there's nothing very strange about them. There are many people around me who are moderators on some sites and they are constantly bragging about it. but I don't find any special with them really and that shows me the site is not really as serious as it looks from outside.
I don't know your friend of course, however if he acts againist the rules on mylot it is just normal to have him banned, in the other hand, if he has contacts with the owner of the other site or has some good history in there, then it is normal to see him as a moderator there.

I wasn't here when he originally got banned but I hear it wasn't his fault. Although later when he came back, it probably was. As for the other site, he is doing his very best not to get into arguments with people and it seems to have paid off. He didn't have any kind of contact with the owner of the site when he first went there!

It's called MoraChat and I call it MoronChat because I got banned there. And I have reason to believe he doesn't like one of the other moderators but I doubt he has the authority to ban her. Or to unban me. lol

It's good that he found a place to go. Honestly I can't relate. The only online forum I was an image board and that was for a month, and that was because I didn't read the rules. Sure I found other image boards to visit to pass the time. It broadened my horizons, so to say.
