Which Keyboard Brand Do You Prefer?  | |  There are many keyboard brand available all over the world. I have only played using Yamaha, Roland, Korg, and Technics keyboard. All of them certainly have unique features, pros, and cons.
I prefer Korg for a Synthesizer since Korg is very great at mixing sound together (I have used Triton). For an Arranger Keyboard I certainly prefer Yamaha keyboard. New Yamaha keyboard are developed with great technology, they offer so many creative style and sounds. Recently I am using PSR S900 series, it's a very great stuff. For Roland brand, I don't really like newer Roland brand since they are a bit difficult in operation and the sound quality is below Yamaha keyboard in average for keyboard with same price range.

| | | | | | 1.  sixclix (448) | 11 months ago |  I have a yamaha dgx and I did have another yamaha earlier. Yamaha is a good brand but I can't really say it's the best since I haven't tried other brands such as korg and roland.
But overall, I'm satisfied with the yamaha keyboard but not just their keyboards, other yamaha products are great as well from guitars to drums.

I have only played DGX-620, which is very similar to Yamaha PSR S900 series (Mega Voice, Super Articulation voice, Cool Voice, etc). I think they are using the same machine inside. I am looking forward for a chance to play new Yamaha Tyros3, it is still not available in my city.
In the past, Roland certainly better than Yamaha. They have more variation, more cool voice, and easy in operation as well as new technology like Beam technology. But newer Roland product are very difficult to operate (compared to latest Yamaha keyboard). And I certainly agree with your opinion that other Yamaha products are great like guitar and drums. I play an old Yamaha Drum Custom edition with traditional mounting, it still sounds good and the wood is still in good condition also. For guitar accoustic, I have tried several brand but I like Yamaha most.

| sixclix (448) | 11 months ago | I have the dgx 305, the one with the 70+ keys. I didn't go for the full 80+ keys since it's just too big for my room and the 60+ key yamaha just doesn't allow you to play classical pieces since they lack the keys. | |

I prefer Casio because their units and models sure are cheap compared to the other brands, and the quality and features are more or less similar. I have the latest CTK keyboards from Casio, the Casio CTK-5000.
