we might end up seeing that in the future, there is talk that we are running out of space on the internet and that soon we will have to pay for it, now we don't know who the we will be, maybe the average person or maybe just companies and such, nobody knows yet.

That would be OK... though some people may become psychotic, it gives us a chance to appreciate the simpler things in life... like calling someone through a telephone rather than reading blogs for updates (not saying that it's a bad thing to do)

You are right, now people are very much depending on internet for many purposes. I think it is an easy way to connect people and can communicate with them fast. At the same time the cost of internet is comparatively low. Some people are using net for passing their time (playing games etc) but some others are depending net for information and making money. It means net has different advantages. For me, I start my day in office with net, first for checking official mails and then personal mail for getting notifications, connecting with friends etc. If one day net is down then it is very disturbing. In the present situation I can't think a day without internet.
