Favorite Young Adult Author?

I am very fond of Margaret Peterson Haddix and her Shadow Children series. The series is about life in the future where only one child is allowed per family (or else face serious and deadly consequences). But some families chose to hide their second and third born children instead and others send them to an elitest, secret society-type school. It's a mind-blowing series.

My favorite Young Adult Author is Cassandra Clare who wrote the Mortal Instruments series as well as the Infernal Devices series which centers about half-human, half-angel entities called nephilims who guards the world from paranormal beings or Downworlders.
