My birthday dinner at Morton's

I am one of those "fortunate" people who cannot normally go out to dinner on their birthday. My birthday is December 25th and most (decent) places are closed. So I always have to go to dinner on a different day - usually the weekend before. A while back I told my husband that I wanted to go to Mortons Steakhouse since they opened one up close to us recently. I knew it was expensive and I didn't expect anyone to come with us. A while back my husband told me not to schedule anything for Christmas Eve so I figured that's when we were going. Last week I was looking for something in his e-mail and came across the reservation confirmation so I knew that's where we were going. Then tonight, the phone kept ringing and he'd jump to answer it - we usually fight over who has to answer it. I figured then that other people were coming - I thought it was his father and step-mother. As it turned out my mother, one of my sisters, her son, my son, my best friend, her son and her boyfriend came too. It was a really great night, although kinda expensive. We loved the food, everything was wonderful! I'm glad that my friends and family could come celebrate with me!
