Christmas ever this year! You know we recently got in contact with my husbands daughter who we haven't seen since she was a child, and found out we have 2 little granddaughters from her. They came up from Oklahoma and spent Christmas eve day and Christmas day with us . We had a wonderful time reconnecting and getting to know the babies. My hubby was so very happy. I was really proud of my kids for reaching out to her and pulling her in well before they came up here to visit. Of course none of them really remembers that she use to come and spend time with us before they moved away. I am still so excited that it went so well. And i miss the heck out of them already. for the sake of discussion I have to ask an opinion or something ..lol
How do you think your children would handle a sibling that they really didn't know much about? Embrace the idea of a new family dropped on the all at once. Or shy away from contact?
And the best question aren't my grandbabies Beautiful?? (of course)

I am very prejudiced about your grandbabies as they are my great grandbabies. And as for your children(my grandchildren), I think we all three raised them to be very open, caring individuals. As you know from me raising you that I have the capacity to love other children very much as I took in your cousins when their mother was drinking so much. And there were others that I got so atttached to that I was very upset when they had to be taken home. The two little girls may not be of my blood but they are to me, my great-granddaughters. Their mother is still the beautiful little girl I remember holding when she was only 8 months old the last timeI saw her. She is just such a good mother and still so very sweet. I am so glad to have had this Christmas with them all.

They're beautiful. This will depend upon how they perceive it. One should explain in such a way that the other family is welcomed . It's all a matter of perspective. It is good to know that you' got along well with them . This is seldom seen. Kudos to you and your family. Happy holidays.
