An image speaks to our hearts. And, this is that image, I believe.
How many of us have felt we couldn't go on, that we've tried too many times already and there just isn't any more trying left in us? How many of us both helpless and hopeless? And, believe me, I know that at those times, those feelings are all too real and often quite legitimate.
But, this video....you just have to see this video. Seriously.

Did you see any parallels? Did you have tears? I did - both questions. Tell me about yours.

There are times that I've felt, "why bother?" Well there are 1000 reasons why I should bother...
These videos and just knowing that there are so many that don't have what I've been given, keep me going everyday...
It's when we take for granted what we have and then see what others don't have and that makes us think about our lives so very differently..
He may not have arms and legs but he has a terrific, positive attitude that shines through him...I had tears, yes...and because of people like him is the very reason I NEED to make everyday I have a good one...
Thank you so much for sharing....Hugs

I know exactly what you've described. I've even given up a few times myself (and probably will again in some area), but giving up on life - here's someone who if he gave up on life, we'd all understand. We'd all understand if he was angry and bitter. But, he's joyful. He took all those lemons, all those rotten apples and made a gourmet feast out of them. His cup runneth over - even if most of us might say he has no cup. I love seeing the good rise above the bad, the phoenix rising above the ashes, so to speak. It gives me hope when I need it so.

I know what you mean...
It is amazing what those that seem to have less than others, actually have the most....The better attitude, the strength to endure and so on...
I would like to share a story I wrote about my boyfriend and what he has gone through..I will PM you and send you the link, okay...

God. You made me turn into tears the first thing in the morning. The tears have a kind of purifying effect on me. I am just amazed at the tenacity and will of this handsome young man. A standing proof of the saying ‘Where there is a will there is a way’. Thanks a lot friend. Thanks for making my day. I am really moved and got inspired.

I have always thought that tears, crying, are a way we cleanse our spirit. It is something we all need to do from time to time.

Hello, jerzgirl.
What a motivational man. Awesome. An example of life. People are there, stressed, yelling out because they cannot get what they want. They are mad because others won't obey them. I used to get so sad when I saw that I wasn't conquering the girl I like. And I tried, and I tried. But she didn't want to be with me, and I thought it was so sad. I used to be so down because of it.
But this man, no. He has no arms. He has no legs. But he does get up, by himself. He is happy. It just shows that happiness comes from inside, not from outside. I am sure that he felt a lot of prejudice already, people must have laughed a lot at him. But there he is.
I did not cry, but I surely was impressed. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I became aware of Nick Vujicic sometime ago as he was on an episode of Oprah once and even on a late news program and yes, he did inspire me. He has a website called Life Without Limbs and I subscribe to his free newsletter

(Warning: This is NOT a referral link but a link to the Life Without Limbs website}
He really is an inspiration. You're so right...it's human nature to gripe and complain, then you see someone like him and you realize like hey, I don't have it so bad. Despite his obvious limitations physically he lives a rich rewarding life and has helped so many other people to realize their potentials

Very inspirational video. (Is it allowed to publish links to other websites in MyLot?)
This guy definitely has found his way in his life: to inspire others. To show that there is always a hope to get better. Not to accept defeats and failures, but to continue standing-up and moving on. Again and again. If You fail 1000 times, then stand up and maybe You will succeed in Your 1001 time.
You fail only when You stop trying- is what I got out of this video.
Thank You very much for sharing.
