Cash Register Rage

I’ve had yet another case of cash register rage this week. Why do so many cashiers feel the need to squish my bread, or break my eggs by putting heavy items on top of them?????
Yes, I’m sure you can all note that it’s a silly reason to get mad, there are more important things in life, I should pick my battles, and patience is a virtue. Well, it’s not a virtue I possess. And where is that lack of virtue most frequently tested? At the cash register.
And it’s not just the cashiers who cause cash register rage. Cashiers are often doing the best they can (and underpaid badly to do it). What’s even more likely to cause cash register rage? Those of us IN the lines that behave badly with, I don’t know, not even the very basic courtesies for their fellow man. GRRRR!!!

I'm a cashier. There are THREE spots where I can put the bread and eggs, and I almost ALWAYS put it there, unless I have several things of bread and a bagger who can grab it up before it gets squished.
It's just a courteous thing to do. Also, you're right there should be line courtesy. Such as, you have a cart full but the person behind you has five items? let them go first... etc. If it's busy, try to have all you need ready for the cashier.

I don't like it when the person behind the counter is working so sloooooow. I know they get training for whatever they're doing so that means they have to be efficient right? I especially don't like it when the person working on the other lane is actually good and this one isn't.

What ticks me off in line, is the people ahead of me who don't take their stuff out of the cart and get it onto the belt until the last min, so they are holding up the line and the cashier has to wait for them to get the things out of their cart.....You are waiting in line anyways, so do something. Get the things in your cart out so that the cashier doesn't have to wait for you and the rest of the line doesn't have to wait either........ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
