I am a student and go to college daily and sometime out of town too. I am very bad in checking how much money actually is in my wallet. many a times i run short of money and have to look for nearest ATM and sometimes I dont find my bank SBI ATM near by and i have to use another bank's ATM which charge rs 25 ie 50 cents for each transaction done with other bank ATM card. So my question is 1) how many of you ppl have this problem like me 2) How much cash do u carry when you go out of your town?

i keep only 500 or 1000 rupees..in my pocket while i travelling....and all money i put in my credit card.. because i think it is safe... and when you want money..then you get money by your credit card...i think it is so easy..and no problem...

hi, keeping money in cash in ur wallet is not a good thing these days..hey agrim I too am a student..I also face similar difficulty while traveling. I think every student would be having the same problem. I generally carry only very little money with me as cash just to manage my food expenditure. I am a little careless with my money, so I don;y like personally to take care of them in a bunch. But ya, i always ensure before my journey that i have enough balance in my bank account that I can use through my ATM card. i dont like keeping much cash with me

I usually have around 20 to 30 dollars. Usually that's enough for me to use but if I ever found myself in need of money, I'll go to the ATM. If I can't find the ATM of my bank and its really urgent, I'll give a dollar fifty to use another bank's atm. I'm starting college soon too ^.^

i normally would carry at least a $10 with me. Just in case my traveling card expires and i've got to top it up. but i have left my home with $2 before. the feeling was horrible. i felt so vulnerable.. ATMs are in abundance here so i won't have to worry not finding one.. but my problem is my ATM itself is rather dry...
