What is your first recolection of a thunderstorm? For me it is after a hot day and a thunderstorm happening in the early evening. It would bring the temperature down and usually cause a light rain. I remember watching the storm out the back windowed door at my grandparent's house. It was always exciting, excilerating and nice to have the temperature come down alittle. So, what is your first recolection?

Yea, it usually isn't long before that here either. When it is hot anyway. Spring it isn't like that though.

gee I don't really have recollections of particular thunder storms or the events that happened around them. I do remember one where the swaying of the trees scared our white cat at the time, she went running down the hall and hid under the bed until the storm was over.

Hi celtic! I love thunderstorms! I especially love them in the summertime! I love the smell of the grass after it rains. I love to watch the rain falling on the windows and the lightning streaming across the sky and lighting it up for a second and then going all dark again! And when the rain finally does stop to see the sun peaking out of the clouds and like you said cooling the air a bit and feeling that little bit of crispness and the summer breeze! Oh how I love thunderstorms even to this day!
