computers or laptops?  

Desktop is my favorite till date. I don't see any reason why should I pay extra 10 thousand bucks just to make it portable. If it is necessary then I might think of a laptop.

I need a laptop for my work reasons... But other than that, I don't really care which one I have... I guess laptop is good for me because I can't really sit in one spot too long... I know that the desktop tend to be faster than laptops but I see that laptops have come a long ways now they are fast enough for a lot of people...

I would rather have a desk top because, I am always here at home and I Don't lik moving from place to place with my computer, I have had a laptop and it was ok I start having problem with it when I started running hot, I had to keep blowing a fan on the computer, to keep it from turning off, I got tried of that,I brought a cooling pad for the computer it didn't work, so I got rid of the laptop and brought another desktop.

I prefer using laptops, for my daily computer activity, but currently i still using desktop computer, because laptops still expensive to me, may be when i have an enough budget, i might consider to buy laptops. I just hope the price of laptops would be cheaper, so i can replace my desktops computer :) and like you say, i can go any place, to do my computer activity, more mobile more fun.

hey man this question is answered like its all depend on the amount of money one can spend. All pc users wish to use laptop .... but all cant , i think i will go with pc desktop as for me there is not so much important use of internet that i need to have a laptop with internet connection all the time , its ok if someone having a international busineess and need to contact perosons around the world all the time then its more preferable to have a laptop ... as laptop is earning some business and money for him... other wise to waste big money is not acceptable as what laptop do all is done on a desktop pc ... for me even i can buy laptop i dont want to rather i will upgrade my desktop pc with more nicer screen and high configrations.

That would be depending on the lifestyle of the person. If you are a businessman and have a regular job at the same time and always outside of home. I suggest that you should have a good laptop. My wife and I always outside even before our working hours in the office. We visit our store and we are not always at home. Even in weekends, we go out with our son in weekends and we always go somewhere to turn on our own laptop to check for the updates of our earnings online.

I would easily prefer to use a laptop. It is just that sitting in that stupid chair in front of the desktop computer isn't always that comfortable. Sometimes people like me like to for example go on the floor and type or do whatever. Even go in bed and put the laptop on their lap, or even go outside in nature and flip open their laptop and get some fresh air instead of sitting inside with no air to breathe. Also it is quite good because you can take all your person stuff and files with you wherever you go. One problem a few years ago was that it was hard to always find Wireless Access points. These days you can now get a wireless broadband USB or whatever and have Internet if you are in 3G coverage. What are they going to invent next? Desktops aren't really my thing, I don't always like to stay glued to my chair when surfing the net, chatting, etc... :D
