Live vs. TV

I enjoy TV rather than Live. Although I have never gone on to watch anything live but still I believe that you have too many options while on TV. You can watch the same match with so many angles, and that too with being at home.

Nothing beats live for me. The atmoshpere is amazing. I also had the privilege of working at the arena once upon a time so I could watch from any nook and corner. After my time there I purchased season tickets as well. You just can't beat live. My favourite, now that I'm on the road, is following the team on the road. Showing up decked out in my teams colours and even some friendly ribbing with the home crowd.

Hockey is way more better when you watch it lonline its awesome obviosly u had fun.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! I didn't know season tickets were that much!I love the Rangers. But the words of that Meatloaf song. " I would do anything for love but I won't do that."To tell the truth I have never seen a hockey game live.I like that Comcast brings me All of my local team's games to me. And all my other favorite teams are far away. I live near D.C. So I get to see the Caps. But I root for The Rangers. Red Wings, Flames, and The Pens, and the Coyotes. I like that from the comfort of home I get to see the game and I get to see replays and during the intermissions I get highlights from other games. ps. Forgive me, I didn't mean to swear.

Those that say TV has never experience a barn raising. There is nothing like the energy of a live game. leaving horse and wore out. from opening warm ups to 3 stars announcement. Saddly I only have ECHL where I live and due to work cant have season tickets other wise I would be there every game. I do stream 2-3 games a day online to keep up with the NHL but its not the same.

During the finals last year several of us from Yahoo Answers hockey section had a group chat on yahoo. half were wings fans half pens. you could almost feel the energy then too. the trash talk and the celebration. It was so much fun, but was also the stanley cup finals with some extremely hardcore fans. it was also real cool getting instant feed back from other hockeyholics

I have been to many hockey games and if you're not close to the action it is probably better on tv. I like to sit just above the glass around center ice. That's the best seats in my opinion. I don't really like people so I prefer tv. If you're someone that enjoys the atmosphere and the people then you probably enjoy live hockey better. When you watch a game live you get to see everything when it happens, even plays outside of the cameras view. When you watch the game on tv you don't get to choose what you see. The camera man shows you what happens but you have the advantage of replay. However if you Tivo the game and go to the game. Well, you can't match that. I know a lot of people that do it. lol

Problem with hockey is the cost. Even the middle of the road seat is pretty costly for most people. I pay $3000 per seats x 2 for 44 games. If your team is doing good and you have a big hockey following in your city, you can probably sell some of the tickets, otherwise you can spend half you winter in the arena. My parents lives in Toronto and the hockey ticket price is almost twice that of Colorado and rumors had it that Detroit is pretty bad too. But watching a game live gives you a totally different perspective of the game and you can see the plays develop. Where as on TV, you only see the different TV angles. And then there is the atmosphere. Best scenario is get a few partners and split the season tickets 3-4 ways.

Hockey is great live! But sometimes the best seat is in your own living room. Its fun to go to the games and wear your jerseys, etc. I cannot believe he had to pay 2,400 for a seat! I complain about $100 seats in Carolina. Guess that's the difference between hockey in the south and hockey in the north. By the way, you have a very kind boyfriend!:)
