Tired of hospitals this month....

I know there are people with a lot bigger problems, especially with family members' health problems. I'm not looking for sympathy, I just need to vent a little because my friends at work are all out on holiday and, well, my family members are the ones who keep ending up in the hospital, so it wouldn't work too well to vent to them. At the beginning of the month, my husband was in the hospital due to congestive heart failure. He went in on Monday afternoon, and got discharged on Friday. I ended up staying overnight Wednesday and Thursday night. That was a very long week, and I was quite a mess. We are still dealing with the dietary change required and having ups and downs. Today, my husband called me at work. He had taken his mom in for a colonoscopy. Due to the "cleaning out" she had to go through, she was already feeling very low energy and bad yesterday. When he called me, he told me everything was "messed up", and that they found cancer. She was very sick afterward and hurting very bad following the procedure. They admitted her to the hospital because she couldn't "deflate" (for lack of a better term). I drove about two hours (I live about an hour from work, and the hospital she went to was about 45 minutes on the OTHER side). The biopsy on the tumor isn't back, but they are going ahead and operating tomorrow. She was scared when I first got there, but seemed in better spirits once I got her friends and my husband's sister there. There is no reason to think things are going to go bad tomorrow. And I know it is worse on the family members who have to stay in the hospital. But DANG I am tired of hospitals right now. Thanks for letting me vent.
