Necrological Mass A Day Before Year Ends

I attended a funeral of a fallen friend, officemate and a former boss of the realty am employed in for 12 years. He's only 48 yrs old a very kind, humble superior that every member of the salesforce loved. Everybody's busy with the holidays and the place where he lives is quite far from us, unluckily I'm the only one who has the chance to attend the burial. I was requested to deliver a message in his necrological service, though I feared I can't make it as my tears easily fall in situations like this but praying to God to guide me, I successfully deliver my message without crying so touching that make the people cry instead. Have you happenned to experience delivering a necrological message, or is there any untoward incident happened to your friends or people close to you before year ends?
