Do you hire a personal trainer to help you lose weight? |
|
I have never hired a personal trainer because first, I can't afford them, second I like to do thing on my own, and finally third there are a lot of free online personal training sites, and I make full use of them. Besides I'm seeing the results of my trining. What I usually do in a gym is befriend a couple of personal trainers then I just ask for their opinions from time to time about the program I'm working on. They usually will try to sell their services again, but hey as I've mentioned I can't afford it, so... What about you, have you hired any personal trainers before to help you lose weight, shape up, or tone up? And how was your experience working with your personal trainers?

brady2moss (409) | 11 months ago | Yeah me too. Besides I still see results in what I do, if I stop seeing results then I have to think about it long and hard.

goofygrmp (1582) | 11 months ago | I think for me, if i had the $$, I would get one as long as i was working towards a goal. Say a marathon or something that I knew if I worked out by myself I wouldn't get the same results. I may not be as ready if i did it myself.

2. coxjamir (1177) | 11 months ago | I have never hired a personal trainer. But if I had the money I would definitely get one! I really want to tone parts of my body and it would be great if there were someone there to make sure I'm doing the right things and doing them the right way. Plus if I had appointments to keep I would be more likely to work out more often.
Once I get a job and get some of my bills paid off I am definitely going to try to get a trainer!

| 4. rameshn (53) | 11 months ago | Personal trainers are expensive and would be good to use if one is looking for some intense training before a sport or looking to sculpt a body for some specific event.
They are not affordable for the normal fitness-routine-workouts.

7. hellcord (366) | 10 months ago | I have a much better idea:
I find someone with a personal trainer, and if I really want it, set my mind to lose MORE weight than they do, over say, 2-3 months.
Actually did something like that, and I won:D
The other person did not have a personal trainer, but were following a good programme, daily, and had abotu 4x to 10x the money I had, to spend on better nutrition and sports equipment.
I invested in some cheap protein, yerba mate tea for a fat-burner, and had running shoes, and exercise ball, rollerskates and an internet connection. improvised weights out of some climbing rope and huge water bottles, and also bought some cheap anticelulitic cream, to improve my 6pack.
In 2-3 months I looked like a Spartan:D
I recommend it. Find someone fatter, richer, more superficial, whatever, and challenge yourself to do more than them, with less stuff and expenses.
The net is free for all. Articles, videos, forums, ideas, all here. The world around you is a continuous exercise environment. Stairs, rails, one of my most powerful exercises was made using a simple bench in the park.
Resourcefulness and some fat b*stard to compete with, that's all you need:D

brady2moss (409) | 10 months ago | Hey there Novelist_117. Yep there are lots of personal trainers in the gym I go to, and they come in all shapes and sizes. My fave is this ultra hot babe...excuse me, personal trainer, with fantastic abs, lean shoulders and long firm legs. I hope she does not offer me any personal training coz I don't think I can ever say no to her.
