Suggest me a good webhosting site with the following requirements.

I've been with them for nearly 4 years now and am very pleased - it's not just the fact that they're good value-for-money, their customer support is awesome. =) Comes with everything you're looking for (php, Cpanel and all); have a look for yourself.

Can I register a domain there with whois protection ?

You could, but I wouldn't suggest their domain registration service - they're pretty pricey, and adding WHOIS privacy would add more bucks.

I reckon you're probably better off being with for another registrar. I must, say, though, domains have gone up price-wise over these 2 years, so expect a reliable registrar to charge at least $9 onwards (gone are the days when domains used to be $7.50!)

That said, I recommend Godaddy.com and Dynadot.com for their great service/reliability. Pricing-wise, they're good too.

Yes, I have heard about godaddy. But many says that godaddy doesn't have cpanel. Is that true? And they say they charge seperately for cpanel. Is the $14.99/month unlimited plan in godaddy comes with cpanel? Thanks for your help.

I don't think you really get what I meant. Domains and hosting are two entirely separate things. You can choose to 1) obtain both from the same company/provider, or 2) you can opt to have your domain at one company and hosting at another (it can be done, and lots of people do it!)
The latter is usually a better choice cost-and-flexibility-wise; the former's usually done by those who can't be bothered/don't know how to propogate the DNS records on their domain (which, I must say, is not hard AT ALL.)

Say for example: My domain's registered at Godaddy.com and I pay them about $9+ every year to keep the name. My hosting, however, comes from Surpass (I pay them about 50 bucks a year.) Surpass gives me DNS values which I key in on Godaddy to make sure the name points to the files on my server.

That said, however, if you choose to buy both domain and hosting from the same company, the details for Godaddy.com's hosting are on their site - look it up yourself. I'm not sure how good they are though, so you're on your own. A few of my friends can vouch for Lunarpages.com, however.
