If you were to run the Philippines as the President what would you do to fix the current state of it's well being? What are the problems? Do you believe that we could still improve the current state for its betterment? Your comments please... I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

The most important for me would be to encourage discipline and love for country. If we FIlipinos have those, we would be able to improve our country's situation

"Love for our country" I missed those words. I think I last heard them or read them during our school plays and History Books. It is good to remind every Filipinos about that. Thank you for responding

All of the above comments are correct. I do believe that there is still some little ray of hope for us but it is best to start it with our own life. Being President of the Philippines is not an easy job imagine having all eyes on you. Majority of Filipinos blame the President for their problems, and they go out shouting in the street doing rallies wanting to get rid of whoever the current President is. But is it really the fault of these President's? In a way yes. Because they did not do there job well but it is basically the fault of the majority of the people who voted for these President's. I think to change the current situation we as voters must change the way we choose are leaders. We must not be blinded by popularity and money. We must also learn to be patient and not be too impulsive in wanting change because, change must begin with us.

I like it when you said that change must begin with us. Just to add to what you have said, I think we Filipinos has this attitude of ranting when things didn't go our way, or things didn't favor us, so out of frustration, the tendency is to find someone who we can blame. But if you really look at it deeply, we could have turned things into our favor if we do something within ourselves- change must begin with us. So I think what you said above is really timely since 20010 election is fast approaching. Everyone: Let's bear this in mind, like the old saying goes, CHOOSE WISELY.

I were the President, I won't allow my family to be involve in any political issues. I won't allow them to use my power for their own good. Because I do believe that when families involve it may arise to any form of corruption. And one way of eliminating corruption is not to involve my family in any political issues. To fix the current state our country's well being?? 1st am going to enumerate first the problems and i'll let all the government officials do their jobs wholeheartedly. I'll make a law for the officials who can't perform their duties properly and according to the law after a year of being in an office, the people will decide if he/she will stay on her position or she should be kicked. Yes i still believe that we can improve our current state only if the officials will render service to the people whole heartedly and according to the law and if only the people in our land have the proper descipline, we will have a better country.

Yes I agree with you. Currently, we have seen officials who allowed some of their family members to somehow gain control on matters that's out of their business/lives already. So everything just gets complicated. I also see your point where you said that when a government official is not doing his/her job, say for a year of evaluating his/her performance, taking him/her out of the position is something that we can consider. Thanks for responding.

In order for our country to progress, the first thing that must be eliminated is CORRUPTION. Because this is the MAIN REASON why our country is not progressing.

Thank you for your feedback Royce22, but another question... do you think it can be fixed with our current leaders?
