What do you think will be the best PS3 game this year?  

Ahhh… ’Killzone’. Is there a sweeter phrase in the English language? Other than ‘PornTerritory’ or ‘BeerArea’ – no, probably not. Ever since that amazing E3 trailer in 2005, all eyes have been firmly affixed upon this sequel, with many people labeling it as Sony’s best chance of showing the Halo franchise how to first person shoot. How do Guerrilla Games plan to pull this off? Via innovation and immersion. Killzone 2 features a unique cover system named "lean and peek" which lets you take cover behind an object, then pop out to chunk bullets at your enemies – and it won’t yank you out of first person view for the privilege. Also, Killzone 2 is looking like a rather solid multiplayer experience. The game uses specialised classes and allows 32 people to connect and group into squads of up to four players. This essentially means two squads can group together as a faction of eight players. In short, this bad boy is looking like the cats pyjamas.

Or maybe uncharted 2? if you haven’t played the original Uncharted, go out and buy it now, buy yourself a PS3 if you have to – we’ll wait for you. Okay. You’re back? Good. Details on this awesome sequel are sketchy so far, but what we do know is this: the adventure will follow Drake as he uncovers the mysteries behind 13th-century explorer, Marco Polo, and his voyages. Naughty Dog has also promised us new gameplay mechanics, such as stealth action segments, and the tweaking of the existing climbing mechanic to allow free movement over walls. For those of you who have already seen the striking teaser trailer, here’s a little trivia: the whole thing is rendered in sweet real-time, using the formidable game's engine. This being the case, we can’t play this soon enough. Love the Drake.

I don't know is the question. I know the ps3 could do with a great rpg so maybe final fantasy - if it's out this year (I think it is) - then there's God of War III which should look amazing and one of the best games of the year - I don't think there is single great that or one that will be THE BEST - so to speak but I do think this will be the year the ps3 makes giant strides in terms of establishing itself

i know call of duty 5 world at war came out in november of 2008 but i think i will still end up being one of the best games in 2009. if you havent already played call of duty 4 modern warfare or call of duty 5 world at war you need to check them both out.
