Yes because of global warmer glaciers that have been the whole reason for the name of Montana's Glacier Nationl park are melting away. These glaciers have been there for millions of years and soon they will not exist anymore

Do you follow the news on global warming?
\Are you aware of the dire consequences that will occur because of global warming?

From the looks of the pics ther will soon be no more park! well yup the park will be there but no more Glasiers.
With thses changes it makes it look awful but then think this wont be the first time this has happened .
Millionsof years ago Las vegas was a lush and green valley. with streams and fish and trees galore now hard to fins a stream to fish in and way hard to find trees! altho I have three in my yard.
and Now we are a desert.
Climate Changes can change the face of the earth but it can also change how a place looks.
It can also be looked at that where we have the coldest spots in the north right now could change to be the warmer ones and the south the colder ones

Dont think we hav eto worry about that in our life time! or our grand kids.time.
And I bet the people in Alaska that are -41 right now wish that it might get some warmer.
but then its winter time and they know how to dealwith the cold!.
Daughter was telling me this morning that a fellow worker used to be stationed in a real cold place and that a feller we wed outside and the last drop froze to winky and got frost bite.
Oh man bet that hurt.
also I noticed when they showed the wildfires around Bouler Colo. there was NO snow around.
But ya go farther south they have lots of snow!

That is a shame to hear alot of animals rely on that habitat to live. I am hoping that something can soon be done for this global warming but I am afraid their might not be a easy fix.

They don't care because it doesn't have anything to do directly with their lives yet. Until it is to late to do anything. I see it on television and it makes me so sad to see all those animals struggling to live to find food and lose their homes. I hope something can be done I know people are having it hard right now but so are the animals and they deserve a chance to live and survive.

it seems like people couldn't care less, look only 5 people bothered to answer this discussion, how can anything be changed when people don't care.

Oh such a personal note here. I lived in Alaska, I make no bones about that. I saw Portage Glacier and touched Exit Glacier and to see now what they are compared to what they were when I was there truly makes my heart break and my tears come to my eyes that we are responsible as humans for what we are causing upon taking away one of the last great things on earth.
I am very aware of the dire consequences, but might not have been had I not seen the original beauty with my own eyes....

It is not the only place. It is sad and irreversible. I saw the Unconvenient Truth again about a week ago and it is like a horror flick. I hate to see it. The only thing we can do is try to get through to people in your own circles. That is what I try to do.
